Guided walks and talks are the perfect way to get out and explore what La Gomera really has to offer. Around Hotel Jardín Tecina, there are plenty of area’s that allow us to delve into the islands rich history in authentic ways. Using both our knowledge of the island and our imagination, we have found amazing Flora and Fauna that is near to the Hotel. One of our top spots takes guests to the magical Las Eras Park displaying the true beauty of the island that time forgot or to the small fishing village of Playa de Santiago where friendly workers are happy to share their story.
A walk to Las Eras Park takes place every Monday from 10:00 to 12:00. Guest will meet at the reception before starting the tour.

Meet up every Tuesday from 10:00 to 13:00 at the meeting point in the reception to learn more about our Eco Finca Garden.

If you are a nature lover like us, you can’t miss out on our routes every Wednesday through our botanical garden, or our Thursday routes through our banana plantation. These beautiful areas are all part of the landscape of the hotel.
On the walk through the botanical garden, you can discover and admire first-hand, through the different streets that surround the bungalows, more than fifty species of international plants that Hotel Jardín Tecina takes care of.

Appreciate the botanical beauty of the banana plantation and learn the importance of this plant in La Gomera history. The Fred. Olsen family has also played a large role the region’s banana production, helping local communities to find new sustainable methods.

For lovers of evening walks, every Wednesday the Playa Santiago walk will take place from 16:00 to 18:30, taking guests into this charming town close to the hotel. Much of the island’s historical anecdotes are based here with a wealth of places of interest for history buffs.
Hike to the volcanic black shingle beaches that can be seen all around the islands, whether you want to find a tranquil secluded beach or take a dip in the azure waters around the island.
